Buying health insurance early helps us stay one step ahead. It lets us serve waiting periods before issues arise—so if something does come up later, we’re already covered. Plus, every claim-free year boosts up the sum insured on subsequent renewals at the same premium * The earlier we start, the more we save—and the more protected we are through every chapter of womanhood.

Frequently Asked Question
Does health insurance cover regular check-ups or just hospitalisations?
Traditionally, health insurance plans focused mostly on hospitalisations—basically, the big stuff like surgeries or overnight stays. But today, a lot of them now include coverage for regular check-ups, health screenings, and preventive care.
Can I get health insurance if I already have PCOS, thyroid, or other issues?
Yes, you can absolutely get health insurance as these are pre-existing conditions, and most insurers do provide coverage. But there are a few things to keep in mind:
a) You’ll need to declare them when applying. It might feel a bit intimidating, but being honest is super important. It ensures that your claims are smooth later on.
b) There might be a waiting period and exception as per the policy
What kind of insurance should I look for if I plan to start a family soon?
Choose health insurance with maternity coverage, including delivery, prenatal care, and new-born cover. Watch out for waiting periods — usually 1 year to 2 years. Some plans also cover fertility treatments. Start early so you're covered when it matters most. Add your baby to the plan after birth.
Women’s health insurance is a specialised insurance policy designed to offer financial protection for women’s unique healthcare needs and medical expenses.
At different life stages, women have unique healthcare requirements. For example, between 25-35 years of age, women may wish to plan their pregnancy and need maternity care. Between 35-45 years, they might need medical care for chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. In later years, the risk of critical illnesses, such as cervical and breast cancer, increases. And at every stage, physical and mental health and wellness need special attention.
At TATA AIG, we offer comprehensive health insurance for women that will help you meet these evolving healthcare requirements. You can cover treatment costs, hospitalisations, medications and preventive care, including vaccinations and screenings.
