Honda Amaze Insurance Overview

The new Amaze is Honda’s frontrunner in the sub-four metre sedan segment. It has undergone a complete overhaul and now offers improved performance, drivability, comfort, and efficiency. We know for a fact that Honda is betting big on the Amaze because the model is available in a whopping 22 variants!

With prices ranging from Rs 6.17 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), Honda has managed to hit the sweet spot to appeal to the price-sensitive Indian consumer. The new Honda Amaze is available in five colour options: Radiant Red, Pearl Platinum White, Modern Steel Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Lunar Silver Metallic. This car could well be one of the superstars of 2020 across all four-wheeler segments

The Amaze-ing ride

The new Honda Amaze has gone through a complete makeover and has design elements that remind you of the new Honda Accord or Civic. Based on a new platform, the new Amaze is lighter by 40-50 kilos, has a broader wheelbase, and marginally reduced height. The new 15-inch tyres add some zing to the drive.

On stepping inside, you are greeted with a dual-tone black and beige interior. The look and feel of the car seem very similar to the Honda City. There is a new centre console with MID, paddle shifters for petrol CVT model, automatic climate control, cruise control, engine start/stop button, 7-inch touch infotainment system, and power-folding and adjustable ORVMs. Other features include dual front airbags, ABS/EBD, and rear parking sensors as standard across all variants.

Under the hood, you have a choice between the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol variant delivers 87 BHP at 6000 rpm and 109 Nm torque at 4500 rpm, while the diesel variant produces 98 BHP at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1750rpm. While the petrol models with manual transmission give a mileage of 18.6 kmpl, the CVTs are only marginally behind at 18.3 kmpl. The diesel models with manual transmission give a mileage of 24.7 kmpl, while the CVT variants deliver 21 kmpl.

The compact Honda Amaze is very easy to drive in city conditions, and the fuel efficiency is an added advantage. If you’re in the market for a compact sedan with sporty looks and loads of features, look no further than the Honda Amaze.
