Ranchi, like many other Indian cities, is densely populated and houses a high vehicle count. Moreover, with people parking their vehicles along its narrower roads, traffic congestion and bottlenecks have become a perennial problem.

The city’s local government has been creating more parking spaces to curb this issue. Yet, civic authorities still struggle to get people to park away from the streets and other no-parking zones.

To discourage such behaviour, Ranchi traffic authorities have begun levying a wrong parking fine in Ranchi.

Ranchi RTO Parking Rules

You are not allowed to park on any public street, thoroughfare or open space within a municipal area other than in designated parking spaces.

Footpath parking is not permitted.

You cannot park your vehicle in a manner that blocks the flow of traffic or causes inconvenience to pedestrians.
