Wait for the invitation and apply Based on your profile, score, and supporting documents, you will receive an invitation if you are an eligible candidate. If you received the invitation, you must apply through the Express Entry program within 60 days.

Application for Permanent Residency status** You need to apply for Permanent Residency status by signing in or creating an account on the Permanent Residence Online Application Portal Account. All the supporting documents, fee receipts, language test results, and signatures, if required, should be attached to the application.

Additional PDF forms You may be required to download a few applicable PDF forms that are specific to the program you have chosen, fill out the details, and upload them with your application.

Upload photo Scan and upload a photo for each member in your application based on the instructions provided in the online application.

Pay your Processing Fee and Biometrics fee Pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) and the applicable processing fees for you and any other member included in your application form.

Also, pay the applicable fees for the biometrics, which includes collecting your fingerprints and taking a digital photo. It can be paid when you submit your online application. Third-party fees You may be required to pay third-party fees that apply to getting Police certificates, medical examination reports, language testing, and Educational Credential Assessments.

Non-Express Entry Process

Steps to apply for the PNP through the Non-Express Entry Process:
